Yes, the splinternet makes that especially hard to know about and experiment with sometimes but it's still important to know, right? It's from 2018 but after living in China/in WeChatland for a few years prior to the world turning upside down, I really enjoyed reading AI Superpowers: China, Silicon Valley, and the New World Order by Kai-Fu Lee (Author)

Glad we're in agreement! Yes, awareness is key, even though I’m not touching the Chinese models. That's just me.
