This really hit home for me. I'm getting pressure from the board of my company to "go faster using AI." There is a board member who is part of a lot of start-ups and they see these start-ups going really fast using everything that AI has to offer. They want to see that same thing at my company. I don't necessary disagree, but we aren't a start-up. I'm left thinking, "go faster at what?"

This give me a framework of thought to have a more intelligent conversation about how and when to use the "speed" of AI. Where is our moat and how to we deepen it?

Good article until the AI changes everything part. The Wiz article you share: the word AI is not even in there (its from 2022 so logic). They specifically say they are expanding to 400 people (small teams what?) and also that they want to attracting top class people because that makes all the difference. Also the amazing stories of AI companies with small teams hitting massive amounts of ARR are AI PROVIDERS not perse users. Lets take Anysphere (developer of cursor) just look at there hiring page: Good luck getting a job there being a sub par dev that just uses cursor.

Thanks, you are correct. But none of that contradicts the points I made. You may also want to check my previous post about the AI Code Tsunami.
